Scanly Privacy Policy

Scanly is provided by Seestron Private Limited (“Seestron,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how Scanly handles information when you use the app.

Information and files you use in Scanly

You can use Scanly to capture documents with your camera or select images from Photos. Scanly processes your images on your device. It does not upload your scans or PDFs to Seestron servers.

Scanly does not require an account.

Camera and Photos access

Scanly uses the camera when you choose to capture a document. When you import an image, iOS lets you select the photos you want to use. Scanly requests permission to save an image to Photos only if you choose that option.

You can manage Scanly’s camera and Photos permissions in your device settings.

Saving and sharing

Images and PDFs saved in My Gallery are stored in Scanly’s local app storage. They remain there until you delete them or remove the app. You can also choose to save a copy to Photos or share a file using an option provided by iOS. Copies saved or sent to another location are handled by that destination and its privacy practices.

Your iOS device backup settings may also affect whether app data is included in a device backup.

Data collection and sharing

Scanly does not send your scans to Seestron, and Seestron does not sell your scan content. Scanly does not collect personal information through an account or online service.

If you contact Seestron for support, we’ll receive the information you choose to include in your message and use it to respond.

Data deletion

You can delete saved images and PDFs from My Gallery. Copies saved to Photos or shared with another app or person must be deleted from those destinations separately. Seestron does not keep server copies of scans for you to request deletion of.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if Scanly’s features or data practices change. The current version will be available at this page, with its updated effective date.
